This hymn is often overlooked by other more familiar songs about our Father and Fatherhood. I think it is a beautiful tribute not only to our Father's perfect parental attributes, but the respect he has for each family, and the trust He has given to parents to guide and guard their homes with godly power. It's a soft prayer acknowledging this trust and respect, and reenthroning the principles that get our homes to a place of immense peace and love.

FYI: It also has killer harmonies that are written in the original hymn. I tried to preserve those.
